IHHT, the Interval Hypoxic Hyperoxic Training, is a complementary training method both in competitive sports and in ambitious mass sports. As part of the overall training concept, it is used to increase endurance and peak performance.
IHHT improves the mobilization of performance reserves in competitions, but it also accelerates regeneration and rehabilitation. In alpine and aviation sports, it prepares you for great heights. In order to create a training plan for you, an altitude check is carried out. The altitude check, including training and practical testing of various altitudes / degrees of hypoxia, takes around 2.5 hours. We recommend 30 to 40 IHHT units per year. Duration of one IHHT unit: 55 minutes. This not only improves performance in sports, because health-conscious people and people with respiratory or cardiovascular problems and recurring infections also benefit from repeated altitude training units.
The altitude training units trigger increased blood formation in the bone marrow and increase the number and volume of mitochondria, the power stations in the cells. In order to cope with the lower oxygen supply, the organism reacts with an improvement in breathing and optimizes both oxygen transport and oxygen utilization as the basis for more endurance. The structure of the training is based on the established knowledge of scientific research.
